Decades Late is a Brooklyn alt-rock band that sits comfortably between classic ’90s guitar rock and modern indie — chiming, textured guitars and bittersweet melodies moving between intimacy and power. Influences run from The Smiths and R.E.M.’s guitar interplay to the emotional weight of Smashing Pumpkins, Slowdive, and Pixies, with melodic instincts drawn from Pavement, Real Estate, and the Velvet Underground.

The Brooklyn alt-rock lineup includes frontman Andre Haroche (vocals, rhythm guitar), David Butler (drums – Guster, Lee “Scratch” Perry), and Brett Bass (bass – Gregg Allman, Chris Barron), lead guitarist Jon LaDeau (National Reserve); and producer-engineer Reed Black of Vinegar Hill Sound.

Their debut LP, Double Appropriation (2024), includes the standout track “Straight Through the Heart.” Urban Grass (Feb 2025) draws from the golden age of vinyl; Second Take (Apr 2025) brings muscular grooves and lyrics tackling climate instability, autocracy, and civil liberties. The Last Song (2025) ranges across gritty urgency, Britpop drive, and soulful balladry. Open Sky (March 2026) explores Americana, country, and blues, with slide guitar and Hammond organ evoking the open road.

Their latest release, Dark Is the Light, is a two-part LP: Part 1 (July 31) features “Quantum Run” — the natural heir to “Straight Through the Heart” — alongside “Vedic Dream,” recorded in under 90 minutes, showcasing the band’s tight chemistry, plus “Here and There” and “Broken Light.” Part 2 arrives October 31.

With each release, Decades Late refines a distinct voice — music driven by message, melody, and deep respect for the past.
